A pedestrian was killed by a car in an accident late Monday night near the ESPN property along Route 229, police said. The victim was walking north on Route 229 between Enterprise Drive and Ronzo Road around 11:30 p.m. when she was hit by a 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer, police said.? The female victim?died soon after arriving at Bristol Hospital. The driver was not injured, and no charges have been filed so far. There was heavy rain at the time andit is suspected that the heavy rain played a factor in this fatal accident.
