Stolen Car Crashes Into Hartford Police Car

Police pursued a stolen car that officers said struck a cruiser from Hartford into East Hartford Wednesday afternoon. The Hartford police auto theft unit discovered and followed what they identified as a stolen car at about 2:30 p.m. Police said the car’s driver then struck a Hartford police cruiser in the area of Farmington Avenue and Gillette Street, after which time, officers began pursuing the car into East Hartford. ¬†With the assistance of East Hartford officers, police eventually apprehended two people who were inside the car just before 3 p.m. on Ellsworth Street in East Hartford.
